James was born and raised in the Philippines. His father was a home builder by trade so James learned the business from the ground up. After earning a two-year business degree, he moved to the US and settled in DC. Matt took a job in a restaurant and quickly climbed the ladder to the position of Sous Chef. But after four years, it became clear that James’ passion was the construction industry. He hung up his apron and joined Four Brothers in 2015. James seeks out opportunities to learn something new every day and savors his return to building something tangible with his own hands.

James' wife and two children are his focus when he’s not working. He still loves to cook – which he does frequently. He also likes to play basketball and chess.
